Krasnohirka: the story behind the village name
Krasnohirka was once known as Kheiliv, a name preserved in historical records. A decree dated 7 June 1946 renamed the village Krasnohirka and changed the name of its village council accordingly.
The local council joined the Andrushky community in 2020. Anyone researching older family or village records may therefore encounter both names.
