Vasylivka: history beside the Kamianka River
Vasylivka, in the Andrushky community, lies along the Kamianka River. A local-history account based on a 1973 encyclopaedic work traces the village back to the sixteenth century.
Several agricultural cooperatives appeared here between 1923 and 1926. The Second World War brought heavy losses, and in 1959 a memorial was erected in the village centre for local residents and soldiers who died during the war.
